Are you just bluffing I know how their updates work - IF you get a virgin (unused) card from the snap on truck or via customer service, all you have to do is copy the Entire Contents of the card (hidden sys etc) before using it, activate the scanner, rewrite the card with the copied files, do it again with a different scanner:-) The reason the virgin copies are hard to find is because the snap on dealer registers your purchase in their scan-bay sales system updates the scanner WithOut a new card, you have to specifically say you want to purchase the update CARD and you will do your own update when youre ready, most dealers dont carry the physical memory cards at all so youre best off buying them directly from the snap on 1800 number.

Snap On Solus Software Already In

As for the Euro and HD updates, they ONLY activate the software Already in your scanner, the same copy and paste method works with these as well, and you do have to have the REAL snap on euroHD card (either one can be used to do either activation), never figured out why it had to be that card, maybe someone smarter can;-) I have the Euro Activation if anyone wants a copy just pm me or email me.

Purchase the latest Solus update from the Snap-On website (see Resources).

The update is mailed to your address on a CompactFlash (CF) card.

Turn off the power to the Solus by pressing the Power button.

Pull out any CompactFlash (CF) cards that are inserted in the top two slots.

Connect the 2.5-mm end of the power supply cord into the power jack on the left side of the Solus.

If the update software causes the device to turn off, turn the Solus back on to continue the update.
